Here we go again with the second ever installment of Tim's OWL Corner. Today, I'm going to tell you a little about every team in the Overwatch League, including what they did in the Inaugural Season. Hopefully, with a little more background, you can start narrowing down the list of teams to find one that you can root for during Season 2.

Atlanta
Team Name: N/A
Season 1 Record: N/A
Reason To Be Excited: A brand new team is always reason to be excited. The official roster has not yet been released.
Boston
Team Name: Uprising
Season 1 Record: 26-14, 3rd Overall in Regular Season. Lost in the Quarterfinals of the Playoffs to Philadelphia.
Reason to be Excited: Boston was a great team from the minute the season started and they should field a great team again next season. Losing to the eventual runner-up in the playoffs is very impressive. Very team orientated as they had good success but no individual was an All-Star.
Chengdu
Team Name: N/A

Reason To Be Excited: A brand new team is always reason to be excited. The official roster has not yet been released.
Dallas
Team Name: Fuel
Season 1 Record: 12-28. 10th Overall. Did not make playoffs.
Reason To Be Excited. After a very disappointing first season, that involved one of their star players being suspended and eventually kicked out of the league for insensitive comments, Dallas has changed their coaching staff and still has well respected players on the team. With a bigger pool of teams, Dallas should be excited that they won't see the top teams as often as they used to.
Florida
Team Name: Mayhem
Season 1 Record: 7-33. 11th Overall. Did not make playoffs.
Reason To Be Excited: After a sluggish start to the season, the Mayhem really made a good showing in the second half of the season. With a little momentum, and a few more South Korean players signed in the off-season, Florida might surprise some people next year.
Guangzhou

Reason To Be Excited: A brand new team is always reason to be excited. The official roster has not yet been released.
Hangzhou

Reason To Be Excited: A brand new team is always reason to be excited. The official roster has not yet been released.
Houston
Team Name: Outlaws
Season 1 Record: 22-18. 7th Overall. Did not make playoffs.
Reason To Be Excited: The Outlaws were in the playoff race up until the last couple of days. They return a roster with three players who are currently competing in the Overwatch World Cup and they recently traded with San Francisco to sign excellent Tracer player, "Danteh". Look for the Outlaws to be back in the playoff race next year.
London
Team Name: Spitfire
Season 1 Record: 24-16, 5th Overall in Regular Season. Won the Championship.
Reason To Be Excited: They're the reigning champs and that's all that matters. They should return the entire roster and should once again be one of the two or three favorites to win it all.
Los Angeles
Team Name: Gladiators
Season 1 Record: 25-15, 4th Overall in Regular Season. Lost in Quarterfinals of Playoffs to eventual Champion London.
Reason To Be Excited: A very solid year thanks to the mid-season acquisition of "Fissure" from London, even though "Fissure" has since left the team to join Seoul. It will be interesting to see what LA looks like without "Fissure" but they bring back two All Stars in "Biggoose" and "Bischu".
Los Angeles
Team Name: Valiant
Season 1 Record: 27-13, 2nd Overall in Regular Season. Lost in Semifinals of Playoffs to eventual Champion London.
Reason To Be Excited: They won their division and made it to the semifinals of the playoffs. They had 4 All Stars and their leader "Custa" is holding it down for Team Australia in the Overwatch World Cup. Plenty of be excited about for this squad.
New York
Team Name: Excelsior
Season 1 Record: 34-6. 1st Overall in Regular Season. Lost in Semifinals of Playoffs to Philadelphia.
Reason To Be Excited: This is a team that only lost 6 games last year, had 6 All Stars, and the MVP in "Jhonak". The fact that they didn't win the entire thing speak to the unpredictability of the playoffs. New York might be one of the greatest teams in sports to not make it to the Championship game.
Paris
Team Name: N/A

Reason To Be Excited: A brand new team is always reason to be excited. The official roster has not yet been released.
Philadelphia
Team Name: Fusion
Season 1 Record: 24-16, 6th Overall in Regular Season. Lost to London in the Finals.
Reason To Be Excited: The Fusion turned a 6th place finish, and barely making the playoffs, into a Finals appearance. They return two All Stars, including their big star "Carpe". There is no reason why they can't make it to the Finals again.
San Francisco
Team Name: Shock
Season 1 Record: 17-23, 9th Overall in Regular Season.
Reason To Be Excited: Even with such a poor record, they had an All Star in "Sleepy". Also, fans should be excited about management's attempt to get better at the tank position even though it meant trading fan favorite "Danteh" to Houston. Management knew where they needed to do to improve and they went out and got a strong tank and that's all the fans can ask from their management.
Seoul
Team Name: Dynasty
Season 1 Record: 22-18, 8th Overall in Regular Season.
Reason To Be Excited: The main reason to be excited is this team is so much better on paper than the results indicate. They started the year super strong and then faltered down the stretch. With the addition of "Fissure", Seoul should be back towards the top.
Shanghai
Team Name: Dragons
Season 1 Record: 0-40, 12 Overall in Regular Season.
Reason To Be Excited: Get excited for their first win in league history! It has to be coming next year. Shanghai released half of their roster, making sure to keep their only All Star, and the only female OWL player, "Geguri". Even with three other Chinese teams joining the league and competing for players Shanghai has the advantage of being an established team.
